TIMES STAFF REPORT
A companion, a family member, man’s best friend — whatever you call your pets, they’re an important part of your life. Sam & Danni’s Pet Resort & Spa agrees. Corrie Proell, assistant manager of the 2017 Best Boarding award-winning pet spa, answered the Times’ questions about the furry friends she works with every day.
Why is it important to you to work for Sam & Danni’s?
I am truly passionate about the pets that come in here, and it’s important that I know that they are getting the care that our very own pets would receive. I have worked many jobs, and as hard as this one may be at times, it is the most rewarding. They say, “do something you love, and you won’t work a day ...”
Are you a cat person or a dog person (or both)?
I am more of a dog person, but I care about both.
What’s the best part about working with animals every day?
The unconditional love you receive. You can be having the absolute worst day and you walk in and all they want to do is have fun and love you. It doesn’t get any better than that!
What’s the funniest pet story you can tell us?
We have so many stories that it would be hard to narrow it to one.
What do you want Times readers to know about your business that they might not already know?
That we are a full-service boarding facility that can and will meet all of your and your pet’s needs. Our staff truly cares for each of the pets that come here. We consider it an honor to take care of your pet.
